2018 Endowment Event

Annual Endowment Fund Event raises over $414,000!

The Hope House Ministries Endowment Committee hosted its 16th Annual Endowment Fund Event on Thursday, March 15th at the beautiful Villa Lombardi’s in Holbrook, New York. This year’s gala was successful in raising an astounding $414,000, bringing the sixteen year event total to over $4 million! The Committee welcomed close to 400 guests who joined together in celebrating Hope House Ministries’ 38th year of service to the community.

Hope House was very proud to honor Louis Vecchia at this year’s dinner. Overcoming a challenging early life, Lou’s perseverance and drive propelled him to start his own business, Suffolk Paving Corp., which under his direction has grown to become a premier paving company and has added several associated companies. Lou established a company philosophy that was based on principles he learned from his own personal life experiences, “be honest, be fair, learn from your mistakes, help others, live up to your promises and realize everybody deserves a second chance.” Today, these companies are still guided by these founding principles. Lou gives of his time and finances to support numerous local charitable and religious organizations that are providing a positive impact on neighborhood and community children and families.

At the close of the evening, Fr. Francis Pizzarelli gratefully acknowledged Lou and all who were instrumental over the past thirty-eight years in helping thousands in crisis journey from despair to finding hope, joy and success.
